Hello again and welcome to our new blog, dear readers! If you haven’t read our first message, the welcome post, we advise you to do that first, so you can get an idea of what Lulworth Cove and its surrounding area are like. The welcome post will show you the most popular places in the region, so you should definitely give it a look.
This section of the blog, however, will be more personal as we will tell you more about ourselves and why we decided to start a whole project born of our love for Lulworth Cove. So, sit back and enjoy reading our story!
Who Are We and Why Lulworth Cove
To begin with, we are a couple with two children from the Midlands and we do enjoy a nice vacation when our kids have their school holidays. Much like other English people, we used to frequent warms countries such as Spain and Italy, so we can get tanned (or at least try) and introduce our children to other cultures and their historical heritage.
However, what we noticed was that newcomers to the UK with whom we came in contact to were asking us about sights in our country that we had no idea about or had never planned to ever visit. This started happening so often that we realised that we had to change something about our holiday-planning habits and explore England like never before.
It’s quite common for people not to pay much attention to their country, this isn’t exclusive to the UK, but we thought it was a shame that we couldn’t even think of the last time we had a holiday here.
We saw gorgeous pictures online of Lulworth Cove as we were making plans for our next holiday and we immediately decided to go there. The pictures truly don’t do it justice – it’s much more beautiful in person.
Why Make this Blog
Once we saw Lulworth Cove though, we wondered what else to do for the next three days we were there. We went in March, so there was no way for us to go for a swim, but we tried our best to learn about the local sights and explore the Jurassic Coast in more detail.
We were pleasantly surprised by the number of activities available around Lulworth Cove and we thought we should let other people know that it’s not just a pretty cove, but a beautiful area that hides many pleasant secrets in plain sight.
